ENGR. HIPOLITO A. LEONCIO, PEE

Before he assumed the position of Presidency of the National Office in 2008, Engr. Hipolito A. Leoncio first became the Vice President for Internal Affairs and Director of the Convention Bureau in 2007.
Engr. Leoncio, is currently the Chairman Electrical Safety Enforcement and Awareness (ESEA) and the former Chairman of the IIEE CPE Council.
He is a senior member of the Institute and has twenty-two (22) years of active involvement in the IIEE National Office and he was conferred as Fellow member on November 2010.
Aside from the Institute, Engr. Leoncio became actively involved in different organizations such as the Society Of Philippine Electrotechnical Constructors & Suppliers, Inc. (SPECS) where he became a President in 2005. He also served as the Past President of Rotary Club San Juan, District 3800.
Engr. Leoncio attained his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Sto. Tomas in 1970, and Bachelor in Business Management, Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) in 1976. He is a graduate of Management Development Program of the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) in 1996.
He became a Professional Electrical Engineer (PEE) with license no. 1105 in 1976. He started his engineering career as a Cadet Engineer in Manila Electric Company (MERALCO) until he became Assistant Vice-President. He also served as the Vice-President of Meralco Energy Inc. (MEI).
